Boat lift zincs serve as sacrificial anodes, protecting your boat lift from destructive galvanic corrosion—especially in saltwater and brackish conditions. By corroding first, the zinc anode diverts damaging electrical currents away from critical lift components such as aluminum or steel frames, cables, brackets, and hardware.

This sacrificial process significantly extends the life of your boat lift while reducing maintenance costs. Zinc anodes should be inspected regularly and replaced when approximately 50% depleted or annually to maintain optimal protection.
