Protect your dock pilings and extend their lifespan with our Piling Wrap, designed to shield wood pilings from destructive marine borers and harsh marine environments. Made from black, UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this durable wrap forms a protective barrier that helps prevent costly structural damage caused by marine organisms.
Our piling wrap is engineered for long-term performance in both saltwater and freshwater environments, resisting UV exposure, abrasion, and marine growth. The flexible HDPE material wraps easily around pilings while providing strong protection against borers that can weaken wood structures over time.
Wrap is sold by the foot, .30MIL thick and 60" wide.
For best performance and long-term durability, we recommend installing the wrap using 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" stainless steel ring-shank roofing nails. In saltwater environments, Type 316 stainless steel nails are preferred for maximum corrosion resistance. Nails should be installed every 1-1/2" to 2" along the seams to help prevent barnacle growth from lifting or breaking the wrap free.
Installation Tip
Many of our customers have found that 48" long cable ties work great for temporarily holding the piling wrap in place while installing nails. We recommend using 3–4 cable ties per piling to make installation easier and help speed up your project.
