Boat Lift Limit Switch

By cutting power to the motor at the correct point, this safety device helps prevent over-lifting or bottoming out—protecting your boat, lift structure, cables, and motor from unnecessary strain or damage.

The switch determines lift position either by tracking drive pipe rotation or through direct mechanical contact with the moving carriage, depending on the model used. When the programmed limit is reached, power to the motor in that direction is immediately interrupted, delivering consistent and repeatable stopping points every time.

This limit switch is fully compatible with remote-controlled lift systems featuring auto-stop functionality, allowing for convenient one-button operation. A built-in manual override is included for temporary bypass situations such as servicing the lift or operating without a boat in place.

Available Models

• Flat Plate Limit Switch – Includes 25 feet of wire; designed for lifts that mount directly to a flat plate or compatible drive systems.

• Rotary Plug-In Limit Switch – Includes 30 feet of wire; mounts to the drive pipe and determines lift position by counting rotations.
